This etymology reflects the intricate nature of psychology, which has sparked an ongoing debate within the field regarding its classification as a Science or a Social Science. Many psychologists contend that psychology exhibits characteristics of both a Science and a Social Science, often referred to as a "soft science." This dual identity stems from its utilization of the hypothetico-deductive model, a method akin to the scientific approach.
